What moves between the two

• The Take Sales event posts to the Custom Webhook URL that starts your scenario.

• Make parses the JSON on the first run and exposes each field to the modules downstream.

• Routers and filters in the scenario decide what happens per event type.

Setting it up

1. 01

   Add a Custom Webhook module in Make and copy the generated address.

2. 02

   Create a webhook in Take Sales pointing at it, with the events you want.

3. 03

   Run one event so Make can determine the data structure, then build the scenario.

Questions

Can one scenario handle several event types?

Yes. Subscribe the endpoint to several events and branch on the event name with a router.

What about retries?

Answer on the Make side with a 2xx as soon as you have accepted the payload, and do the slow work after: a webhook that waits for the whole scenario is a webhook that times out.
